Unbrick or Recover Xiaomi Redmi 10A and other MTK devices

Case: Your Redmi 10A (probably other MTK devices too) is not turning on and doesn't react to any button pressed nor cable connection. Requisites:   Dead phone USB Cable  You tried tons of tutorials to unbrick the phone and didn't work This image Willingness to even use Linux to fix it (it's not hard) Steps: Create a bootable USB using the image downloaded. Make sure your computer allows booting from USB. Boot the computer from the bootable USB. When booting, a list of options will be shown. Pick the first one: Boot Live system. Once the system is loaded, go to the right-upper corner to connect to Wi-Fi. Once you have internet, use the Firefox browser (click on the icon in the left-upper corner) and download the Linux version of this tool (SP Flash) and save it in the desktop. Unzip the tool downloaded. Download the fastboot version of the stock ROM . Unzip the ROM, to have the folder and files. Click on 'MTK' icon that is in the desktop. In the command line opene

Recording the Screen/Window and Audio of Your Computer

Case: I want to record the screen (or window) and audio (coming from the microphone and the speakers) of my computer in a video file.
 
Requisites: Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) is installed.

Steps:
  • Open OBS.
  • Go to 'Settings'.

  • Set the 'Recording Path' for the recording and the format to use.

  • Set the video resolution, the base and output resolution must be the same, play with these values if you see that OBS is recording one part of the expected output.

  • Add the video source to record (+), use 'Display Capture' if you want to record the total screen or 'Window Capture' if you want to record only a specific application window.

  • Create a new source, use the name you want.

  • Validate in the preview if what you see is what you expect.

  • Start the recording.
  • Stop the recording when you think is the right time.

  • Go to the output path and you will have the recording ready.

I Need to Send an Automatic Email with Lotus Notes

If you don't know, Lotus Notes is an email client used in a lot of companies around the world. Therefore, I use it at work everyday, but someday I needed to send an automatic email to a few people all Fridays at 10:00.   To get this task accomplished I decided to create an agent and avoid remembering the fact of sending the email. As you can image, I did this example on a Spanish version of Lotus Notes 8.5 but I will explain it clearly enough.
